“Thank you very much for the return of the deposit and thanks again for such a lovely holiday. The apartment is so lovely and comfortable - you have really thought of everything. It was great to sleep so well, relax by the lovely log fire, potter around outside and be in such a beautiful setting too. It really helped that you gave us so much local information without which it would have taken weeks to find our way around.
We will print out all our photos this week to remind ourselves of all the wonderful things we did and saw. The girls had a brilliant time too, they are making their friends at school (and teachers) jealous with tales of scorpions, volcanoes, endless pizza and amazing ice cream!!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Bella Vista. The view is truly beautiful and we saw many beautiful sunsets. We have never been in this part of Italy except to pass through on the Interstate and we found it to be very rewarding. The small towns and the beautiful countryside are very pleasurable. We found the food to be excellent and the people very hospitable.
The apartment was exactly as presented and the housekeeper nearby was very helpful with suggestions and directions. The guide to finding the apartment made it easily found despite arriving at 2:00 in the morning. We certainly hope to come again.”

“To back up our texts to Alan and Carole, we'd firstly like to say thanks again for the hospitality and let everyone know that the Casa really has to be seen to be believed. Casa Bella Vista, Via Immoglie, Picinisco, is the place to get away from it all. At all times of the day, you have peace and tranquillity, wonderful views and you'll have the comfort and facilities to go with it.
In the mornings, you can visit the local towns of Atina, Villa Latina (Aldos has excellent homemade Ice Cream), San Donato, Sora, or go further afield to Cassino or the beach at Gaeta, while in the afternoons you can relax back at the Casa. The area is full of friendly, welcoming people, and there is a variety of local restaurants, ready to satisfy all tastes.
If driving puts you off, then let me put your mind at rest. Frosinone is not a busy part of Italy, and the driving there does not come close to the bigger cities or the congestion of the Amalfi coast. You'll always have time on the road, and I guarantee there will be a 30 year old Fiat driving slower than you are!
It's back to normal life for us just now, with the addition of some Italian classes in preparation for our next trip. Andrew and Lorna - Aberdeen, Scotland, on our 2nd visit to Casa Bella Vista.”

There is always plenty going on but far enough away not to disturb the peace and quiet of our village and being situated on a hilltop above the village, Casa Bella Vista has its own tranquil setting with amazing views and stunning sunsets.
Your comments about 'easy driving' will also be of great interest and re-assurance to guests who may have otherwise been concerned. Carole's good advice to concerned guests is - 'stick behind a slow truck' - or in your case - 'a 30 year old Fiat'.

“We had a wonderful time is this lovely apartment, the setting is absolutely breathtaking. Carmelinda and Armondo were very helpful and welcoming. This was the perfect location to enjoy real Italy, as well as take in the historic towns of Cassino and Rome. We also had two fabulous days out at the beach in Gaeta and the Water Park in Cassino, both a short journey away.

“I must tell you that Alan and his wife Carole - our gracious hosts - have outdone themselves. The house has indeed 'beautiful views', the appointments are 1st rate and the rooms are huge. This is indeed a great way to finish our Italian holiday. They have obviously put a huge amount of work and love into this place and are justly proud of their home. By the way (and this is important to us) the shower would fit 6 people - unlike every European shower we have experienced so far - this is heaven. Thank you Alan and Carole. I can tell you the Casa is something no-one should miss. It is beautiful. If you come to this area you must make time to stay here.
We are now sitting on the terrace enjoying the sunset and a view to die for. We are overlooking the valley towards Atina. We keep looking at each other and saying, 'Hey - this IS the real Italy' - this is an incredibly exciting trip.
We shopped at a local store and the people were, as usual, just as nice as you can imagine.
On Alan's advice we stopped at Floyds Restaurant Bar with a complete menu of English dishes from hamburgers to fish and chips - we couldn't finish one between us - but damn they were good...!
We have also been blessed with a wonderful couple at the local shop & bar that take care of us with a graciousness that defies explanation. “What a fabulous holiday we had at your farmhouse. We have rented homes many times before and have noticed properties are usually cheaply furnished just to rent out and with extra beds crammed everywhere. We must say we were totally surprised at Casa Bella Vista by the high quality of furnishings and equipment, excellent decor, lots of marble, lots of extras and in fact, the best of everything. The bedrooms were all double size, so lots of space and NO put-you-up beds. The views are just stunning and constantly changing with staggering pink to red to purple, winter sunsets.
Alan and Carole, your attention to detail is amazing, even down to the water heating being already switched on for a welcoming shower; free use of a local mobile phone with credit paid; electric blankets airing the beds (as it was winter and Christmas) and a log fire in the grate. You even left Christmas lights and decorations, a welcome card and telephone numbers of local restaurants - so thoughtful. Thank you so much.
Your several calls from the UK to ensure all was in order were most re-assuring and your local housekeeper was helpful throughout with advice on shops and places to visit.
We particularly enjoyed our Christmas lunch at La Grotte - your excellent recommendation - and also the good quality, inexpensive food and wines at other local restaurants. On New Year's eve, from the hill-top position of the Casa we were able to watch no fewer than 4 fireworks displays by nearby villages, before joining in the celebrations at a local bar.
Warm, snug, friendly, relaxing and cheaper than staying at home (apart from the air fares from Dubai) are just a few comments that come to mind, as well as excellent, 1st class and very comfortable. In all, a truly unforgettable holiday at your historic old house, Casa Bella Vista. Your luxury apartment and the mountain setting provided a wonderful experience we certainly wish to repeat. We are pleased to write this review and hope it will be helpful to other guests contemplating a visit and who have not yet had the pleasure that we have just enjoyed. “Standing at 2000' on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Comino Valley, Casa Bella Vista is a 17C farmhouse which has been lovingly and tastefully restored and refurbished by Carol and Alan. The location is peaceful and the views are panoramic - a pastoral scene of cultivated fields, olive groves, vines, dotted with farmhouses, and surrounded by undulating wooded hills; and the sunsets are stunning. The small towns and hill villages roundabout are a delight, especially on busy market days. Essentials can also be purchased at friendly butchers, bakers and delicatessens a short drive away. Excursions to San Donato, Pescaserolli, Opi and the Abbey at Monte Casino are recommended.
The owners have a list of the best shops and restaurants offering delicious food at reasonable prices, and lists of opening times and market days in the surrounding villages. The apartment is spacious, very well equipped and comfortable, and our welcome from the Italian housekeeper was friendly and helpful. We had a taste of rural Italian life and we left wanting more. Arrivederci!”

We stayed in Alan and Carole's farmhouse, using it as our base in the week leading up to our wedding. The setting was perfect to relax, take in the views and seriously chill out before the big day. Alan was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience as were the local representatives, Carmelinda and Almondo. The Farmhouse is extremely well equipped, comfortable throughout and suitable for all temperature conditions. If you're looking to get away from it all, this is the place for you. "We spent six nights at Casa Bella Vista and it was everything we had hoped for and more. It was a perfect location for day trips to Rome, Pompeii, Vasto. The house is cozy and comfortable, had every convenience, and is meticulously well maintained. We enjoyed the country calm after busy days of sightseeing. The views are incredible and ever changing. We even enjoyed watching a man herd his goats across the back of the property. We were provided a list of local restaurants, markets, and shops that was very useful. We especially enjoyed the Friday "fish'n'chips" at 'Connections'.
The best part of our stay was Alan's personal touch and attention to detail -- we arrived on a rainy Monday to a fire already blazing in the fireplace and a personal welcome note addressed to each member of my family. All in all a fantastic stay!

"Truly a wonderful place for a holiday. The accomodation is superb, with a sense of luxury throughout. Shops and restaurants are close at hand and there are many places of interest within easy travelling distance. The best part of the holiday - sitting on the balcony with a glass of red wine, enjoying the magnificent scenery and watching the sunset - followed by another glass of wine!"

"Had a wonderful & memorable time in the casa that had been in my Arcari family for generations but which has now been sympathetically yet practically restored for modern living by Alan & Carole. Area is incomparable, views and sunsets the like of which you'll never see anywhere else. The rugged beauty of this place is breathtaking. Skiing/hill walking not too far away for those who want an active holiday, but equally, with transport, many beautiful old towns, hamlets & villages within easy reach. Will definitely return in the future."

"We visited in June and fell in love with the views and scenery in this lovely setting. The apartment has every luxury and is better then described in the brochure.
Really enjoyed visiting the surrounding villages, morning coffees in local piazzas and evening meals under warm moonlit skies. Will definitely visit again next year.

"Having recently spent a few days at the extremely well named "Casa Bella Vista" I have to say it is a really peaceful area to sit and read, walk in the surrounding hills, and eat in the numerous restaurants in the local towns and villages at a realistic price.
Monte Cassino is a must in my view, just half an hour away; the nearest beach forty minutes - well worth the variation in scenery. In reality an area to roam and discover, meeting the local population when drinking your morning coffee being an experience in itself. In winter the hills are covered in snow, there is a Ski-centre in the hills above the Casa catering for the novice to experienced winter sport enthusiast.
The area is equidistant from Rome and Naples one hour forty-five minutes served by both fast railink and motorway. The Casa itself has everything one would require for a very pleasant stay in tastfully appointed, warm cosy surroundings. I highly recommend. We had a lovely stay. John & Lana".

"Still snow on mountain tops. Log fires, country walks, browsing goats, warm spring sunshine, cherry blossom, woodsmoke, lazy coffees with friendly locals. I think we'll keep this place a secret, tell no-one and save it for ourselves. So glad we found Casa Bella Vista. Now booking for New Year with friends."

"What a wonderful area of Italy your property is located in. The views are fantastic and it provided me with a great base from which to explore the 'real' Italy. The accommodation was first class and the attention to detail was second to none. The location suited me perfectly as it was tranquil, but not isolated, and the locals were so friendly and helpful. I certainly shall return."

"Spent two wonderful New Years at Casabella Vista. The evenings spent around a log fire and days walking and enjoying the amazing view from the villa. The accomodation and facilities in the house are first class and the owner provides all the information and help you could possibly need. The house is serviced and in immaculate condition.
The Local people in the village are friendly and restaurants and local bars and coffee shops are excellent. Will definitely return and hope it will be very soon."
